Baptist Health and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), two prominent and reliable healthcare institutions in Arkansas, have partnered to offer cutting-edge cancer treatments utilizing the latest technology. This collaboration ensures that patients in Arkansas have access to vital, innovative cancer care.

With the recent opening of UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Clinic-Little Rock in Suite 500 of the Hickingbotham Outpatient Center, this clinic offers comprehensive care for cancer patients. This includes prescribing appropriate chemotherapy and coordinating a multidisciplinary approach to address a patient’s health needs.

The new clinic has gathered a top-notch team of healthcare professionals to provide complete cancer treatment. The team is composed of specialized providers in hematology/oncology. Anusha Jillella, MD

An experienced hematologist/oncologist and assistant professor, Dr. Anusha Jillella, M.D., recently joined the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine at UAMS. She completed her internal medicine residency and fellowship at UAMS after obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India.

Sindhu Malapati, MD 

Dr. Sindhu Malapati is an assistant professor of medicine at the UAMS Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Medical Oncology. She received her medical degree from Goa Medical College in India and completed her internal medicine residency at John H Stroger Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Malapati specializes in breast health cancer, with expertise in breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immunotherapy. She also offers supportive oncology and symptom-control care to her patients.

Aside from being fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu, Dr. Malapati is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Sri Obulareddy, MD

Dr. Sri Obulareddy is an oncologist who specializes in breast cancer treatment. Dr. Obulareddy holds internal medicine and medical oncology board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Additionally, Dr. Obulareddy was recently elected as a fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians, a distinction held by only a select few physicians globally.

Shi-Ming Tu, MD

Shi-Ming Tu, MD, is a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancer, which includes cancers of the urinary and reproductive systems. Dr. Tu provides medical treatment and procedures such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immunotherapy. He also treats various conditions, including adrenal, bladder, kidney, penile, prostate and testicular cancer.

Dr. Tu obtained his residency at the University of Illinois and fellowship at the University of Texas MD – Anderson Cancer Center. He holds professional certifications such as the American Board of Internal Medicine — Medical Oncology, the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
