Mallory Harpole

After being induced by her obstetrician, Dr. Jennifer Anderson, at Baptist Health Medical Center on December 13, 2013, Mallory Harpole gave birth to a seven pound baby boy.

When he finally arrived, his cord was wrapped in a knot around his neck causing him to stop breathing. He was then rushed to the Baptist Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The Harpoles were beside themselves so Dr. Anderson asked if she could pray with them.

“At that moment, I knew I had chosen Dr. Anderson and Baptist Health Medical Center for a reason,” says Mallory.

After about 10 minutes of their son being in the NICU, a nurse let them know that he was fine but it would be another 30 minutes before they could see him.

Knowing how anxious the Harpoles were, Dr. Anderson went down to the NICU and took pictures of their newborn, so they could see that he was alright.

“Dr. Anderson went above and beyond and my family will always be thankful for her,” says Mallory. “Baptist Health has the best doctors and nurses in the state, hands down!”
