Baptist Health Weight & Nutrition Center will offer two summer sessions of its Healthy & Active Youth Program, which encourages kids and their families to live a healthier lifestyle through fun, interactive activities.Â
The Healthy & Active Youth Program is a free program for youth, ages 11 to 17 and their families. It incorporates all elements of health, including nutrition and physical activity.Â
This year’s summer sessions will be June 13-23 (Camp 1) and July 11-21 (Camp 2). Each meeting is held at Baptist Health Weight & Nutrition Center, 10915 N. Rodney Parham Road, Suite G, in Little Rock.
What's Included:
Participants will receive a fitness tracker and as well as an exercise kit they can use at home. kids will learn about the following:
- Snacks on the go
- Why breakfast is importantÂ
- Cooked and uncooked portionsÂ
- Sugary drinks and their effects
- Healthy eatingÂ
- How to exercise and why it’s important
- Guided workouts and programmingÂ
- Fun games and two field trips (Subject to change)Â
