Why Baptist Health Medical Center- North Little Rock?
After attending pharmacy school at a large, Academic Medical Center, I knew I wanted a smaller, more intimate setting for residency. During my second year IPPE, I was lucky enough to have a rotation at BHMC-NLR and immediately fell in love with the pharmacists and the hospital. Even with BHMC-NLR being a smaller institution, the opportunities to work with physicians, residents, and highly trained pharmacists were abundant. They push their residents to their full potential while also ensuring they are moving at a pace that is appropriate for the resident. Another plus for me was the opportunity to precept pharmacy students. My preceptors have made such an impact on my growth as a pharmacist and being able to give back to future pharmacists was very important to me.

From my observations as an APPE student at BHMC-NLR, I was able to get a really good idea of the investments that the preceptors poured into their residents. I knew that I would be trained really well while being in an environment filled with excitement and innovation.
