FORT SMITH, Ark. – Liesa Erickson, PA, recently joined Baptist Health Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center-Fort Smith.
Erickson will work alongside Dr. M. Denton Stam, a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon, during surgery at Baptist Health-Fort Smith, as well as providing pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
Erickson earned a Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Saint Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Masters of Science in PA Medicine from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. Erickson loves coaching her patients and making them feel confident in their health care decisions.
“I want my patients to feel comfortable sharing their health concerns with me,” she said. “Together we will develop an individualized plan to best reach their goals. I want them to know that they are not alone. I encourage patients to reach out with any hesitations, concerns, or questions.”
Erickson was born and raised in Duluth, which is located along the north shore of Lake Superior. Because of that, she thoroughly enjoys spending time outdoors and any activities involving water such as fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking.
