GREENWOOD, Ark. – Upton Siddons, MD, recently joined Baptist Health Family Clinic-Greenwood. He provides care for all ages and is now accepting new patients.
Dr. Siddons earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed his residency in family medicine at UAMS West this summer. He was born and raised in Tulsa, Okla., but has spent the last 18 years in Arkansas. Dr. Siddons received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Hendrix College before completing a Master of Science in Agronomy from the University of Arkansas in 2012. While his love of agriculture took him abroad briefly, he was drawn to health care.
“I saw a community need for healthcare providers who were invested in public health,” Dr. Siddons said. “I recognize the value of a doctor who takes the time to listen to patients and help them with their particular needs. As a physician, I take my obligation to heal and provide treatment for all patients seriously and consider a mutual relationship of trust and respect integral to that mission.”
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Siddons provides treatment for acute and chronic illnesses, and minor injuries including diabetes, high blood pressure and depression. He also provides wellness exams and physicals for all ages. Dr. Siddons prides himself on providing health education to each patient and is passionate about getting to know them and their families during all stages of life.
“I love taking care of sometimes three generations of a family at the same time and being able to wave ‘Hi’ to them at the grocery store as well,” Dr. Siddons said.
Dr. Siddons and his wife have four children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time playing sports, cooking and being outdoors with family.
Baptist Health Family Clinic-Greenwood is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 1408 West Center St. For more information about the services that Dr. Siddons provide or to make an appointment, call (479) 996-5585 or visit baptist-health.com.
