Dr. Jay Bhama Joins Baptist Health Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic, Heart Failure and Transplant Institute

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Dr. Jay Bhama has joined Baptist Health Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic and Baptist Health Heart Failure and Transplant Institute, both located on the campus of Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock.

Dr. Bhama has practiced medicine for 15 years. He received his medical education from the Baylor College of Medicine, George Washington University and Johns Hopkins University. He obtained an advanced cardiac surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, and a thoracic transplant and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

“My goal is to provide the best care possible for our cardiac surgery patients by combining innovative and cutting-edge technology with excellence in patient care,” he said.

Dr. Bhama, a native of Canton, Michigan, is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Chest Physicians. He is board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, mitral valve repair and heart failure surgery.

Baptist Health Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic is located on the campus of Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock in Medical Towers I, Suite 990. Baptist Health Heart Failure and Transplant Institute is in the Hickingbotham Outpatient Center, 9500 Kanis Road, Suite 310.
