Baptist Health Urologists to Host Seminar Focused on Prostate Health

FORT SMITH, Ark. –  Kyle Basham, MD, and John D. Terrell, MD, of Baptist Health Urology Clinic-Fort Smith will host a free virtual seminar focused on men’s prostate health and treatments options for benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).

BPH, or an enlarged prostate, is a non-cancerous condition where the prostate has grown to be larger than normal. About 1 in 4 by the age of 55 will experience symptoms related to BPH. Those symptoms include frequent or urgent need to urinate and trouble urinating or emptying the bladder. If left untreated, BPH can cause significant health problems, including irreversible bladder or kidney damage, bladder stones and incontinence.

Both Dr. Basham and Dr. Terrell offer minimally invasive Aquablation therapy for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms due to an enlarged prostate at Baptist Health-Fort Smith. Aquablation therapy uses the power of water delivered with robotic precision to provide long-lasting symptom relief with low rates of irreversible complications, regardless of prostate size or shape. It significantly reduces the chances of sexual dysfunction and incontinence.

You can learn more about BPH and Aquablation, as well as have a chance to ask questions during a virtual seminar beginning. Use the following link to join the event live at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 26: https://bit.ly/prostatehealthseminar
