Baptist Health Provides Free Health Screenings at Annual Head North to Health Fair

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Open and free to the public, Baptist Health’s annual Head North to Health Fair and screening event will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon on the lower level of McCain Mall in North Little Rock.

For more than 25 years, Baptist Health has hosted this event that attracts people from across central Arkansas who take advantage of free health screenings for body mass index, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and PSA for men. This year COPD screenings, carbon monoxide measurements and fall risk assessments will be offered, as well as a limited number of free flu shots.

Over the years, nurses at this event have helped many Arkansans become aware of dangerous health issues that they otherwise would have never known about through the free screenings. Results of cholesterol and PSA screenings will be mailed to the participant.

Door prizes will be given away hourly, and the participants completing the screening process will receive a complimentary goodie bag while supplies last. Mark your calendar for Head North to Health, sponsored by Baptist Health, KARK Channel 4 News, Fox 16, and McCain Mall.
