Baptist Health Names New Administrator for North Little Rock Hospital

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health has appointed Mike Perkins as the new vice president and administrator for Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock. He will begin serving in his new role effective July 23 and will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of Baptist Health’s North Little Rock campus.

Perkins has been with Baptist Health for 27 years and presently serves as the vice president and administrator for Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute. Prior to this, he served in various roles within Baptist Health. Perkins began his career in the Health Management Center at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock and later was promoted to assistant vice president of the hospital in 2001 and then vice president in 2003. He also served as vice president and administrator of Baptist Heath Extended Care Hospital for the previous five years before BHRI.

The Arkansas native received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University, his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and his Master’s degree in Health Service Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Perkins has served as a member of the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Fitness and is currently a member of the Healthy Active Arkansas Operations Team. He was appointed to the Arkansas Acute Stroke Care Task Force in 2017. He also serves on the board of Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA) where he received the Outstanding Service Award. He is a past Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association Administrator of the Year winner.
