ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Long-tenured employee and Bismarck resident, Tony Hardage has been named as the assistant vice president and administrator at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia (BHMC-A).
A 20-year employee of Baptist Health, Hardage began his career in 1996 as a staff pharmacist at BHMC-A. For many of those years, he has served as director of pharmacy and more recently, began leading the daily operations of outpatient services and the hospital-based rural health clinic operations. Hardage’s new role as the hospital administrator was effective August 29.
Hardage is a graduate of Henderson State University and obtained his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. He has served in numerous leadership roles and governing boards of local and statewide organizations. He currently serves on the Clark County United Way Board, teaches a Sunday school class for teens at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church where he also serves as a deacon.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to serve in this new role at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia as we strive to meet the healthcare needs for this community and area,” said Hardage.
Hardage was born and raised in Bismarck, AR, which is located near Arkadelphia and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1982. His wife, Durenda, is a teacher at Bismarck High School. They have three children who attend local schools and colleges. Hardage has lived in the area his entire life and enjoys coaching youth sports such as baseball, basketball and football. He is currently the volunteer golf coach at Bismarck High School.
