Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock Wins National Research Corporation’s Consumer Choice Award For 21st Consecutive Year

Consumer Choice award

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the 21st consecutive year, Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock has been named a Consumer Choice Award winner by National Research Corporation. The annual award identifies hospitals across America that local healthcare consumers choose as having the highest quality and image.

“I believe this continuing recognition occurs because of the deeply committed team of professionals that come to work every day and dedicate their lives to serving others. For more than 90 years Baptist Health has built a culture where we believe that our work is our ministry,” said Greg Crain, senior vice president and administrator, BHMC-LR. “It’s our opportunity to live out what we say we believe. It’s that compassion, that outstanding care, which leaves a lasting impression on our patients, their family members and our community.”

The Consumer Choice Award celebrates the power of a strong brand image in healthcare. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in NRCs nationally syndicated Market Insights survey.

The four measures used to determine the 2016/2017 Consumer Choice Award winners are Best Overall Quality, Best Image/Reputation, Best Doctors and Best Nurses. In addition to these metrics used to calculate the award, the survey also asks consumers about:

–  Top of Mind Awareness

–  Advertising Recall

–  Hospital Website Used

–  Latest Technology and Equipment

–  Widest Range of Services

–  Most Personalized Care

–  Meeting All Your Healthcare Needs

–  Best Accommodations and Amenities

–  Best Community Health Programs

–  Highest Patient Safety

Among all 14 measurements and more than 900 Arkansans in 13 counties surveyed, Baptist Health ranked as the leader in almost every category.

“For each of the past 21 years, winning hospitals have provided outstanding experiences that have transcended their four walls to build consumer preference, loyalty and trust in their markets,” said Brian Wynne, vice president and general manager of Market Insights at NRC. “We are honored to congratulate this year’s winners on a job well done.”

Market Insights is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. No other study used to measure hospital performance and preferences contains more consumer responses than NRCs study which surveys more than 300,000 households throughout the United States and the District of Columbia.
