MALVERN, Ark. – For a second year, IBM Watson Health has recognized Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County in its list of top-performing hospitals in the U.S.
This year, the medical center was also named among 20 organizations as a recipient of the Everest Award, which honors hospitals that have both the highest current performance and the fastest long-term improvement in the years of data analyzed.
“I am proud of our staff for receiving this recognition of the hard work and exceptional care they provide for our patients,” said Tony Hardage, president of Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County. “This honor is a great reminder of the quality healthcare and focus given to those we serve that I see from our team on a consistent basis.”
The IBM Watson Health Top 100 Hospitals list annually identifies top-performing hospitals and health systems, and delivers insights that can help health care organizations focus their improvement initiatives on achieving consistent, balanced and sustainable high performance.
In determining the recipients, short-term, acute care, non-federal U.S. hospitals that treat a broad spectrum of patients were considered. Studies used to determine the lists were based on a balanced scorecard of measures of publicly available clinical, operational and patient-satisfaction metrics and data.
