SALLISAW, Okla. – Baptist Health is partnering with Sallisaw Health and Wellness Center to provide convenient obstetric and gynecological care for patients in eastern Oklahoma.
Dr. Mark Fowler of Baptist Health Women’s Clinic-Fort Smith is now accepting new patients at the center located at 1630 S. Kerr Blvd. He provides women’s health services including pap smears, pelvic exams, birth control and family planning, menopause management, treatment for incontinence, and obstetric care. Dr. Fowler also sees patients at his clinic in Fort Smith and at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau. Baptist Health hopes to partner with Health and Wellness Center to provide women’s services at other locations in eastern Oklahoma in the future.
“Making quality health care more accessible to people in this region is a top priority,” said Kim Miller, Baptist Health Region President. “We know many of our patients are busy with work, school, and raising families, so they often don’t have time or ability to get to an appointment. Partnering with the Health and Wellness Center allows us to provide convenient access to comprehensive women’s services and improve the health of the community together.”
Dr. Fowler earned his degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland in 1996. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Armed Medical Center National Consortium in 2000. Before coming to Baptist Health-Fort Smith in 2016, Dr. Fowler practiced at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas.
