LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health College Little Rock faculty Jessica Mathisen, MSN, RN, CNE, was named the 2024 Outstanding Nurse Educator by Publishing Concepts, Inc. Mathisen was honored during the 2024 Compassionate Nurse and Outstanding Educator ceremony on April 20.
Mathisen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas in 2016 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2020. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice In Educational Leadership from American Sentinel College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Post University. She began teaching at Baptist Health College in 2023 as an instructor for incoming freshmen and simulation for the nursing program. Prior to entering education in 2018, she worked as a Dialysis Nurse at Baptist Health Medical Center- Little Rock.
Mathisen is honored to be a recipient and is grateful to be shaping the next generation of leaders in health care.
