FORT SMITH, Ark. – Numerous nurses across Baptist Health have once again been recognized by the Great 100 Nurses Foundation for their extraordinary compassion, dedication to quality care and contributions to the future of nursing. The 16 nurses from Baptist Health honored this year are:
- Robin Brown, a staff specialist from Baptist Health Medical Center-Heber Springs
- Theresa Carroll, an occupational health nurse from Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock
- Thad Carter, director of nursing at Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute
- Kaytlyn Crisco, a labor and delivery nurse from Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock
- Nicole Dake, a nurse manager at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Courtney Jasna, assistant director of the emergency department at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Linda “Nicki” Knowles, director of women’s and children’s services at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock
- Cody Newton, assistant nurse manager at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Heidi Niswander, course leader at Baptist Health College Little Rock
- Stacy North-Flanagan, a shift supervisor at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Raevondolyn Rice, a community education nurse at Baptist Health
- Kristina Risenhoover, an emergency department nurse at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Sherri Rogers, a medical-surgical nurse at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Lillian Shaw, a medical-surgical nurse at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Janet Smithson, a shift supervisor at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
- Arielle Stevenson, an emergency department nurse at Baptist Health-Fort Smith
For nearly four decades, thousands of nurses from across Louisiana, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas and Arkansas have been recognized through the Great 100 Nurses Foundation program. Funds raised through the awards event support nursing advocacy, nursing scholarships and nursing research.
All the Arkansas recipients from across the state, including those from Baptist Health, will be celebrated at an awards dinner in October at the Embassy Suites in Little Rock.
