Our Weight Loss Program Offerings

The Baptist Health Weight & Nutrition Center offers weight loss programs that are thorough yet easy to follow. The program is personalized to your specific goals and health needs. Our expert staff provides an individualized and effective weight loss plan by measuring your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), reviewing your nutritional habits, and assessing your medical history. We recommend incorporating the protein-rich food options we sell through our program and shop, along with fresh fruits and vegetables that can be purchased at your local grocery store or farmers’ market. You will learn how to make the healthiest choices for your meals, practice portion control, and learn about your unique nutritional needs. Our program plans are customized for you based on various factors, including calories, macronutrients, allergies, likes and dislikes, previous weight loss programs you might have used, individual progression, chronic health conditions, and medications.

Three-Phase Medical Weight Loss Program

Weight Loss Phase

Weekly attendance (either in person or virtually) until 80% of your goal is achieved. This first phase aims to restart your metabolism. The length of this phase differs for each participant. Our educators guide you weekly to provide support, motivation, and accountability.

Evolution Phase

Bi-weekly attendance (either in person or virtually) until 100% of your goal is achieved. In this phase, self-made meals are reintroduced into your diet. This phase typically lasts 4-8 weeks.

Maintenance Phase

Once a month attendance (either in person or virtually) for as long as you need. Congratulations, this is the final and longest stage. Your monthly visits are built around encouragement as you prepare your meals and snacks with some aid from our products.

Metabolism Test

A metabolism test is an offering through our program and is recommended for those unable to commit to the weekly meetings our other programs require. The test is a 90-minute in-person appointment with a registered dietician. Several elements are gathered, such as your current height, weight, and body fat percentage. You then discuss your ideal weight and goals to establish a plan that includes daily meal suggestions, shopping lists, and recipes.
