Atop Land Named for a Frontiersman

The original Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock sat at the crest of Boone Hill, located between 22nd and Division streets. Relatives of Daniel Boone—the pioneer, explorer, and woodsman from the 1700s, whose frontier exploits made him a folk hero—once owned that land and the name stuck.
