5 Gallons of Icing, 6 Feet of Cake

Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock celebrated its 15th anniversary in January 1977 with a 6-foot cake made in the shape of the hospital. The cake was designed and created by hospital staff member Liz Johnson and decorated by fellow staffers Carolyn Hackworth, Ethel Springer, and Cheryl Drum. The team used five gallons of icing to decorate the cake.
