Dr. Kasina is a fellowship-trained endocrinologist who specializes in treating conditions such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, metabolic disorders, calcium and bone disorders, as well as disorders of hormone-producing adrenal and pituitary glands.
Nearly 15 percent of Arkansans have diabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association. Thyroid disease is also very common, with an estimated 20 million people in the United States having some form of thyroid disorder. Women are more likely to have thyroid problems than men, according to the American Thyroid Association. Dr. Kasina is passionate about providing education about these conditions to his patients.
“I respect one’s experiences living with the disease, strive to explain complex hormonal disorders to help one understand what’s going on and to make an educated decision on what is best for oneself,” Dr. Kasina said.
Dr. Kasina completed a fellowship in endocrinology from the University of Iowa in 2022 and a residency in internal medicine from MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., in 2020. He earned a medical degree from Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam, India.
In his free time, Dr. Kasina enjoys playing soccer and basketball. He also loves to read, draw pencil sketches and cook for his friends and family.
