In family practice, you get to know a little bit of everything, and there is always something new to learn about yourself and your patients. I’m interested in putting that knowledge to use and helping my community.

Wilson Cruz-Leal, MD, has practiced medicine in the River Valley since 2012 and recently opened Baptist Health La Clínica del Pueblo in the Fall of 2021.  He is accepting new patients at the clinic located at 4700 Kelley Highway, Suite B. While the clinic is open to anyone, Dr. Cruz-Leal and his staff are all able to speak both English and Spanish in hopes of eliminating the communication issues patients often have, and will also allow the patient to speak directly to their healthcare providers instead of depending on a family member to translate.

“Being able to speak to patients in their own language makes it easier to help them understand the issues with their health and what they need to do,” said Dr. Cruz-Leal.

Dr. Cruz-Leal’s practice philosophy is to offer the best care possible to the patient. This is done by listening and understanding their needs. In his free time, Dr. Cruz-Leal enjoys long-distance bicycle riding and spending time with his family.
