Julia B. Goodwin, MD

Dr. Julie Bodemann Goodwin, M.D. is an Arkansas native. She grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she went to school through 12th grade. After high school, Dr. Goodwin attended Texas Christian University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Social Work.

Following college, Dr. Goodwin attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she received her medical degree in 2009. Following graduation she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology through St. Louis University at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. During her residency, she received the Outstanding Resident Teaching award, Resident of the Month award multiple times as well as the Senior Resident Research Award. Dr. Goodwin was selected to serve as administrative chief resident, as well as resident representative on the Obstetrics Operations committee, Quality Improvement committee, Resident Recruitment committee, and the Women’s Evaluation Unit committee.

In 2013, Dr. Goodwin graduated and began practicing as a full time physician of obstetrics and gynecology. She is board certified and holds membership as a Fellow of the American College Of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also holds memberships with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Arkansas Medical Society.

Dr. Goodwin is passionate about women’s health. She offers a wide variety of specialty services for her patients that include;
• Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Long acting reversible contraceptives
• Family planning
• Breast feeding
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Adolescent care

In addition to these services, Dr. Goodwin has a particular interest in minimally invasive gynecology surgery. She is certified to use the da Vinci surgical system, a robotic device that allows physicians to perform complex surgery without being invasive. She takes great pride in providing a surgical option where women can have expedited recovery after surgery so they can return to normal activities. With this option, patients are often able to go home the same day as their surgery.

Currently, Dr. Goodwin lives in Little Rock with her 3 boys and husband Josh. She enjoys watching Texas Christian University play football in the fall, photography, and spending time with her family.

She is currently accepting new patients.
