Dr. Joseph Nelson has a strong interest in controlling health conditions (especially diabetes and fatty liver) with low carbohydrate healthy fat diets and believes in the power of fasting. A native of Bryant, he is married to his lovely wife of 26 years Shannon, who is a school nurse. He has two children – one is a sophomore in college, the other a junior in high school. He has coached soccer for years but is currently taking a break to enjoy being a dad instead. He enjoys working out, music, playing guitar, traveling, anything outdoors, and spending time with his family. He is a member of MidTowne Church where he is involved with a wonderful neighborhood group. He has been the Bryant High School football team physician since 2005.

Dr. Nelson has strong special interests in Low Carb Healthy Fat (LCHF) diets, fasting to prevent and treat disease, nutrition to prevent and treat disease, weight loss without surgery, sports medicine, dermatologic and aesthetic procedures including botox.
