Baptist Health Stroke Support Group to Tackle Medicare Options

FORT SMITH, Ark.Baptist Health–Fort Smith invites stroke survivors, caregivers, and community members to attend its monthly Stroke Support Group meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, in the Baptist Health Classroom, located at Baptist Health–Fort Smith, 1001 Towson Ave..

This month’s featured speaker will be Kim Perceful, CM, MSN, who will provide guidance on navigating the often-complex world of open enrollment, including changes in Medicare traditional plans and Medicare Advantage plans. With new options, shifting coverage and important deadlines approaching, Perceful will help attendees understand their choices and feel more confident in selecting the coverage that best meets their needs.

In addition to the presentation, attendees will be encouraged to share their real-life experiences and challenges. The group setting offers an opportunity to problem-solve together and find solutions that can improve quality of life for stroke survivors and their families.

The event is free and open to the public, with no RSVP required. For added convenience, community members may also join virtually at Baptist-Health.co/BHFSStroke.

The Stroke Support Group meets monthly and covers different topics related to stroke and post-stroke care, serving as a valuable resource for those personally affected by stroke or those who simply wish to learn more.
