Patient Services

Volunteer

Do you want to make a difference? There is no greater role than serving others. Volunteering at Baptist Health is a way to give to the community by showing compassion to patients during their stay. While comforting a patient or giving a helping hand to hospital team members, Baptist Health volunteers make a real difference.

Whether you are a retiree wanting to help your community, a student exploring career opportunities while lending a helping hand, a group looking to serve others together, we offer a wide array of opportunities at Baptist Health. Possible volunteer placements include: nursing units, information desks, critical care, surgery waiting, and therapy areas.

Summer Youth Program - The A-TEAM at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock and Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway (Register for 2019)

Teens may now apply for the A-TEAM Summer Program at Baptist Health. This highly educational and interactive program is for students entering the 9th – 12th grades in the fall of 2019, especially those who are interested in a healthcare career and who have not previously participated in the program.

There will be two sessions on our hospital campus in Little Rock and for the first time ever, a single session at our hospital in Conway.

The sessions conducted at Baptist Health Medical Center – Little Rock will be held:

  • June 10-21, 2019, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Monday through Friday
  • July 8-19, 2019, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Monday through Friday

The session at Baptist Health Medical Center - Conway is CLOSED.

  • June 24-28, 2019, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Applicants will be selected – as long as slots are available – for one, but not multiple sessions.  If selected, a student is expected to attend and actively participate each day.  The program cost is $65.  We are looking for serious-minded applicants.  This learning experience involves take home assignments, research and preparation for exams.  Please do not apply if you cannot attend each day.

You may make your online application and payment below, listing your preferred session.  Beginning on Friday, February 1, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and are secured when payment is received.  Slots are limited – 25 for each Little Rock session and 10 for the Conway session.  Make your application now.  We will continue receiving applications through Friday, March 8 – or until all slots are filled, whichever comes first.  A-TEAM is the only volunteer-related youth outreach program scheduled for the summer of 2019 on either the Little Rock or Conway campus.
