FORT SMITH, Ark. – Baptist Health is pleased to welcome Merit Turner, MD, an internal medicine physician, to Baptist Health Adult Medicine Specialists-Fort Smith.
A Fort Smith native, Dr. Turner earned her medical degree and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She is excited to return to the River Valley to care for the community where she grew up and to work alongside her parents, Charles Jennings, MD, and Holly Jennings, MD, as well as her sister, Natalie Jordan, MD.
As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Turner provides comprehensive care for adults, with a focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.
“I love diagnostics and working to get to the root of the problem,” she said. “My goal as a provider is to ensure my patients feel heard and understood and to make treatment decisions together. I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients both in the clinic and hospital.”
Outside of medicine, Dr. Turner enjoys spending time with her husband and children, exploring nature, and experiencing all that the River Valley has to offer.
Baptist Health Adult Medicine Specialist-Fort Smith is located at 1120 Lexington Avenue and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Turner, call (479) 709-7260. For more information, visit Baptist-Health.com.
