Free Baptist Health Diabetes Empowerment Program Helps Participants Be Healthier

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Community Outreach is holding two sessions of the popular Diabetes Education & Empowerment Program (DEEP) with the first starting in August.

The program provides hands-on and interactive diabetes education sessions open to those with Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes. It will also discuss monitoring, complications, medications, and movement. Participants learn how to make healthier food choices together. 

There will be two upcoming sessions of DEEP classes with each session lasting six consecutive weeks. They are as follows:

  • Session 1 –– Aug. 20 to Sept. 24
      • Wednesdays, 3 to 4 p.m.
      • Baptist Health Community Outreach, 10117 Kanis Road, Little Rock
  • Session 2 –– Oct. 17 to Nov. 21
    • Fridays, 10 to 11 a.m. 
    • Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock, 3333 Springhill Drive, North Little Rock, Lakeside Room on the third floor
