HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Baptist Health is proud to announce that Cowherd Family Medical Center, which has had a long-standing presence in the community, officially became part of the Baptist Health healthcare system on Monday, Nov. 14.
The family practice will continue to serve its patients with the same great standard of care, but also provide greater access to more specialists and the latest technology Baptist Health has to offer.
Renamed Baptist Health Family Clinic-Heber Springs East, the practice offers a wide range of comprehensive family medical care as before. Its services include basic laboratory testing; annual, women’s, athletic and school physicals; X-rays; diabetic and weight management; allergy testing and shots; laceration repair; EKGs, pulmonary function tests; pulse oximetry; and pediatric exams and care.
Clinic founders Drs. Kristy and Robert Cowherd are joined by healthcare providers Matt Sharpe and Stephanie Thompson, both APRNs. All physicians are board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the clinic is recognized by the Center for Medicare Services as one of the top performing practices in the delivery of care.
BHFC-Heber Springs East is located at 20 Baptist Health Drive in Heber Springs adjacent to the hospital. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m., the clinic can be reached by calling 501-362-0500.
