LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Georgina Chapman, co-founder and creative director of high-end womenswear brand Marchesa, will headline Baptist Health Foundation’s 34th annual Bolo Bash Reception and Luncheon.

This year’s Luncheon, presented by Dillard’s, will be Thursday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Center, 315 N. Shackleford Road in Little Rock.

A Reception with Chapman, sponsored by Roller Funeral Homes, is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be hosted at 42 at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave. in Little Rock.

The Luncheon is sold out, but Reception tickets are still available for $85 each.

The event is set to present this year’s Power of Purpose Award to longtime nursing educator Georgia A. Seward of Baptist Health College Little Rock. It will also showcase delicious food prepared by Chef Ebony Walker and her Morrison culinary team in collaboration with Chef Daron Hall, co-owner of K Hall & Sons Produce.

Co-chairs for the 2024 Bolo Bash Reception and Luncheon are Dr. Ramey, an interventional cardiologist in the Arkansas Cardiology clinic at Baptist Health Heart Institute, and Katie Marshell, founder and CEO of Spectra Tox.

Chapman is known for her ability to infuse a distinctly feminine and romantic aesthetic into her designs while remaining timeless and sophisticated. Her collections are coveted by fashion-forward women of all ages, as well as celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Michelle Obama, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Lopez.

Chapman attended the Wimbledon School of Art in London, United Kingdom, where she studied costume design before embarking on her career in the fashion industry.

As a Council of Fashion Designers of America board member and former judge on “Project Runway,” Chapman has established herself as a prominent figure in the fashion industry, constantly pushing the boundaries and setting new standards for excellence.

Proceeds from this year’s Bolo Bash Reception and Luncheon will support Baptist Health College Little Rock, which has a strong history of preparing the next generation of nurses and health care professionals to improve the health of Arkansans. All proceeds will support facility expansion and improvements to increase student enrollment and enrich learning in all programs.
