FORT SMITH, Ark. – Amy Bridges recently joined Baptist Health Wound & Hyperbaric Center-Fort Smith as program director. Bridges now oversees daily operations of the clinic and supports providers Dr. Quyen Ha, MD, CWSP, and nurse practitioner Jaimie Neal, who conduct more than 900 patient visits a month.
Bridges, a Fort Smith native, most recently served as the clinical quality manager for Baptist Health-affiliated clinics in western Arkansas. She and her husband have two children.
Baptist Health Wound and Hyperbaric Center-Fort Smith offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
Advanced wound care modalities provided by Dr. Ha and his team include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, compression therapy, debridement and non-invasive vascular assessment. The center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
If you are suffering from hard to heal wounds, your provider can refer you to a wound care specialist, if needed.
