BENTON, Ark. – Baptist Health has announced it is opening of its fourth urgent care center in Benton. The center is scheduled to open Oct. 30 and will be located at 824 Military Rd. next to Arby’s.
Baptist Health, in a joint venture with Urgent Team, one of the Southeast’s largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers, currently has urgent care centers in North Little Rock, Bryant and Jacksonville.
“Benton is a fast-growing community and providing convenient and affordable care for urgent but non-emergency needs is a primary focus we are intent on providing throughout Arkansas,” said Troy Wells, president and CEO of Baptist Health.
Baptist Health’s expansion into urgent care provides unscheduled access to care for patients, as well as supports Baptist Health physicians who want to provide an after-hours option to their patients. This new urgent care center will provide Benton residents urgent and family care, as well as wellness
services, on a walk-in basis.
Urgent care is quicker and less expensive than an emergency room for receiving treatment for pain or conditions that are nonlife-threatening. With no appointment needed, urgent care treats patients for a variety of medical needs, including:
• Asthma and allergies
• Flu, colds and viral illnesses
• Bites, stings, allergic reactions
• Sprains, strains, broken bones
• Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
• Urinary tract infections
• Ear and Eye injuries
• Skin conditions
• Burns
• School, sports and wellness physicals
• Immunizations and vaccinations
Baptist Health Urgent Care-Benton will be open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 6 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit card, will be accepted.
