Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock Adds Infectious Diseases Specialist

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Dr. Maxine C. “Seales” Kasangana recently joined Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock as an infectious diseases specialist.

Dr. Seales has more than 10 years of experience in medicine. She most recently served as section chief of infectious diseases at Essentia Health hospital in Duluth, Minnesota and in various committee roles at that hospital.

“Communication, respect, compassion, honesty, patient safety, stewardship and teamwork are very important in my practice,” Dr. Seales said. “When patients come to see us, they are treated as family and their concerns are priority.”

Dr. Seales received her medical degree in 2008 from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and is board certified.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Seales is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Medical Association, Infectious Diseases Society of America and American College of Physicians.

Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock is located at 3500 Springhill Drive, Suite 200A, and offers extensive health care services for patients with fevers of unknown origin, pneumonia, influenza, tick-borne diseases, recurrent staphylococcal skin and soft tissue infections and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Other services include HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), pre- travel care, travel-related illness, telemedicine, neurology, pulmonary and sleep medicine.
