CONWAY, Ark. – Joanie White-Wagoner has been named as the vice president and administrator of the soon-to-be-opened Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway.
Joanie is a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than 18 years of leadership experience in the healthcare setting. She comes to Baptist Health from Midlothian, Texas, where she has been serving as the COO/administrator of Texas General Hospital. She previously served as vice president of operations and chief of Health Administration Services based out of the Veterans Health Administration in Dublin, GA.
“We’re very excited to welcome Joanie into the Baptist Health family. We’re fortunate to have someone with her level of experience joining Baptist Health, and she will be a great fit for the organization,” said Doug Weeks, chief operating officer and executive vice president for Baptist Health. “Joanie will be responsible for all aspects of Baptist Health’s newest medical center.”
In addition to her outstanding credentials in hospital administration, Joanie received her MBA and MHA from the University of Maryland University College. She also received a Black Belt/Lean Six Sigma certification, master’s certificate from Villanova University and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Joanie is married to Darren and they have five children.
Construction on Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway continues. The 111-bed hospital is located on the west side of Interstate 40 in Conway. Since construction began, the hospital has already increased in size to 264,000-square-foot after the expansion of the Women’s Center. Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway is expected to open fall 2016.
