Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart Acquires New Touchscreen Ultrasound Machine

STUTTGART, Ark. – As part of Baptist Health’s commitment to expand and improve the care provided to the residents of Stuttgart and the surrounding areas, Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart recently purchased a new high-tech ultrasound machine.

The Siemens ACUSON S1000 Ultrasound System is Baptist Health’s first touchscreen model. This unit provides general abdominal and cardiovascular imaging. With its vascular enhancement technology, it will allow Stuttgart to now perform arterial studies to evaluate plaque buildup in the heart thus providing residents with a more convenient and close by location for receiving ultrasound tests.

In addition to providing sharper images, the new system is powered by an intuitive, user-centric interface, which streamlines exam flows to improve image quality with less effort.

“This new technology represents a significant upgrade to state of the art ultrasound imaging,” said Dr. David Weiss. “In addition to general abdominal imaging, vastly improved vascular, breast, and obstetrical imaging is possible with this new system.”

With more than 175 points of access including eight hospitals, Baptist Health is committed to delivering “All Our Best” to the people of Arkansas. To learn more about Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart, call Baptist Health HealthLine at 1-888-BAPTIST.
