LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Sidelined last summer by the pandemic, the Baptist Health Little Rock Open is ready to make a return to play for the 40th anniversary of the state’s most prestigious tennis event.
Hosted by Baptist Health Foundation in partnership with the city of Little Rock and the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Baptist Health Little Rock Open will be held May 30 through June 6 at Rebsamen Tennis Center in Little Rock.
As an ATP Challenger Tour event and part of the USTA Men’s Pro Circuit, it will bring players ranked from Nos. 100 to 300 in global standings to central Arkansas.
This year’s tennis tournament benefits Baptist Health’s nursing excellence program for nursing continuing education and scholarships. Through donations each year, scholarships are provided to a wide range of deserving nurses to further their education and expertise.
As the longest-running USTA Pro Circuit tournament in the country, the Baptist Health Little Rock Open has brought notable tennis figures including Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, John Isner, James Blake, Luke Jensen, and MaliVai Washington.
