Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in Arkansas and across the nation. In fact, Arkansas ranks among the top five states in the U.S. for stroke mortality, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Each year, more than 3,000 Arkansans are hospitalized due to stroke, with hundreds of lives lost that could be prevented through rapid treatment and high-quality care.
The Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke initiative helps hospitals adhere to up-to-date, research-based treatment protocols to improve outcomes for stroke patients. The program includes tools, clinical decision support, and quality improvement resources to accelerate the delivery of care when every moment matters.
By consistently meeting these high standards, Baptist Health is helping to reduce the long-term impact of stroke across Arkansas—and giving patients a better chance at recovery and a better quality of life.
