Baptist Health Foundation Sets 32nd Annual Bolo Bash Golf Tournament for September in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the 32nd year, Baptist Health Foundation’s Bolo Bash Golf Tournament returns Sept. 19 and 20 at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock with Simmons Bank as the presenting sponsor.

Central Arkansas’ largest charity golf event, the scramble format tournament hosts an average of over 400 golfers and features an expansive lunch buffet, contests, prizes and a special gift for each participant.

Event co-chairs for the 2022 Bolo Bash Golf Tournament are Scott and Meghan Miller.

Proceeds raised from this year’s event will support the Baptist Health Behavioral Health Services. Arkansas ranks near the bottom – 46th in the nation – for the availability of beds for psychiatric patients.

Arkansas struggles with a physician shortage, and is also ranked 46th in the number of physicians available per capita as well. Sadly, 56% of Arkansans suffering from mental health illnesses are not receiving treatment and suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in our state.

At Baptist Health, our healing ministry cares for the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. Our vision is to remain responsive to the state’s unmet needs by addressing shortages in specialty providers and patient beds, and to expand our behavioral health services throughout our state. Proceeds will provide the resources we need to achieve our vision and give compassion, hope, and healing to Arkansans wherever they live.

Baptist Health Foundation provides financial support to advance the healing ministry of Baptist Health through purposeful and philanthropic partnerships.
