Baptist Health-Fort Smith Event to Focus on Hypertension, Kidney Health

FORT SMITH, Ark. (March 7, 2019) – Your kidneys play a key role in regulating your blood pressure. But if they aren’t kept healthy, these hardworking organs can cause a variety of kidney disease symptoms.

In honor of National Kidney Month, James Henry, M.D., nephrologist, will host a free lunch-and-learn style event from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 14, in the Baptist Health Classroom on the first floor of Baptist Health-Fort Smith on Towson Avenue. The event will focus on hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, its negative effects on your health and how you can reduce your risk.
