FORT SMITH, Ark. – Baptist Health is pleased to welcome Ashton Ferrell, DNP, FNP-C, to its team at Baptist Health Family Clinic-Ellsworth Road, where Ferrell will provide compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals and families across the River Valley.
A native of Russellville, Ferrell earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in 2020 and recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Central Arkansas in May 2025. Her clinical background includes experience in both inpatient and rehabilitation care, as well as primary care practice in Northwest Arkansas—giving her a well-rounded foundation to meet the diverse needs of her patients.
At Baptist Health Family Clinic-Ellsworth Road, Ferrell sees patients of all ages, offering wellness exams, preventive screenings, chronic condition management and care for acute illness. Her approach is rooted in building strong, collaborative relationships with patients and families.
“I hope to build a positive working relationship with my patients, so that we can actively work together to achieve their health goals,” Ferrell said. “It’s important to me that patients feel heard and supported throughout their care journey.”
Ferrell brings a passion for rural and community health and is excited to serve the Fort Smith area. Her addition to the team reflects Baptist Health’s commitment to growing access to high-quality primary care for families across Arkansas.
