INTRODUCTION

At Baptist Health, we understand your concerns about releasing information on the internet. All personal information submitted via the hello pregnancy application  (“App”) is handled in accordance with our privacy practices set forth herein.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy lets you know what information we collect when you use the App, how that information is used, and how we use the additional information you provide.

This policy applies only to information we collect in the App and any other electronic communications sent through the App.

This policy DOES NOT apply to (a) information that we collect offline or on any of our other apps or websites, or information that is collected on any third-party apps or websites, such as the “Chat with a Nurse” function or tool provided through App which is subject to Pager, Inc.’s privacy policy found at https://www.pager.com/privacy, or (b) our collection, use, creation and/or disclosure of Protected Health Information (“PHI”). Any collection, use, creation and/or disclosure of PHI will be governed by the Baptist Health Notice of Privacy Practices.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use the App. By downloading, registering with, or using the App, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the App after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. 

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If your device settings permit, we may also collect information about the location of your device, system and application software, and personal information.

Baptist Health supports the anti-spamming legislation currently passing through congress. Baptist Health will only send you information if you request it or give your permission.

We and the App licensors are committed to protecting the privacy rights of App users. We do not sell the personal information that you submit to us. We do, however, collect and maintain an electronic file of this data for use by Baptist Health, and may transit personal information we collect through the App that constitutes PHI to any electronic medical records we maintain about you in connection with any healthcare operations, treatment and/or payment.

Submission data is analyzed and used to help us enhance the App. Please be aware that our privacy policy does not apply to your use of other sites or applications to which baptist-health.com links. 

Baptist Health assumes no responsibility for any aspect of healthcare administered with the aid of information found on the Application.

The App may contain links to other websites or other third-party services. These links are for information only.  Links that are non-functioning may either be removed or corrected at that time.

DATA SECURITY

We or our services providers who maintain the App have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. 

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through the App. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.
