Hepsin TAB Assay Testing
Baptist Health and Navaux offer Arkansans a blood test that can detect the earliest stages of cancer. This blood test, called a Hepsin test, quantitatively measures the levels of certain aggressive cancer-causing proteins.
Scientists at Navaux have developed the blood test using the protein Hepsin. If a tumor is present, high levels of Hepsin are likely to be detected in the blood draw.
Baptist Health is the first healthcare system to offer this test to patients for $99 (due prior to service).
Physicians may order this test through EPIC or by using TAB (Hepsin) Order form.
