Public Welcome to Attend Local USTA Bolo Bash Tennis Tournament

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Whether you’re part of the gallery sitting center court entranced in a sudden death match or one of the players hoping to learn to ace his or her serve at specially held clinics, the Baptist Health Bolo Bash USTA Tennis Tournament will provide 13 days of engaging entertainment for the whole family.

All the action packed events will be held in Little Rock and begin April 7 with a Wild Card Tournament at Rebsamen Tennis Center for local players and continue with the main draw on April 14 at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

“We’re thrilled to continue this prestigious event that brings some of the country’s top tennis players to Little Rock as well as help raise money for our heart transplant program,” said Troy Wells, Baptist Health president and CEO.

Monies from the tournament will be used to purchase a cutting-edge CentriMag heart assist device used to temporarily support people affected by end-stage heart failure not treatable with medicine. Baptist Health is the only adult heart transplant facility and only adult mechanical circulatory support program, including heart assist devices, in the state.

This is the 35th anniversary of the USTA Men’s Pro Circuit tournament which is a pathway to the US Open and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players and now part of Bolo Bash. Other events during the Bolo Bash Tennis Tournament include special tournament-sponsored lunches and dinners, kids’ day with the pros and the renowned Bollettieri Tennis Academy for all ages.

Various sponsorship levels are available to be a part of the tennis tournament and meet the pros. For more information contact Rebecca Scaife with the Baptist Health Foundation at Rebecca.scaife@baptist-health.org or 501-202-1207.

Watching the tournament is free and open to the public. Most tournament play will start at 10 a.m. and end around 4 p.m. The first spectator event will be the Men’s Pro Am on Sunday, April 12.
