Endocrinologist Shrikant Tamhane, MD, Joins Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock recently welcomed endocrinologist Dr. Shrikant Tamhane.

Dr. Tamhane received his medical education from B.J. Medical College in Pune, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Tamhane also completed fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism and nutrition at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

“I strongly believe in shared decision-making where evidence-based medicine, patient values, principles, and preferences are considered when making the best decision for treatment,” he says of his approach to treating patients.

Services and procedures offered by Dr. Tamhane include management of diabetes using the latest in diabetes technology; thyroid disorders such as thyroid nodule biopsy and cancer; and parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, hypogonadism, transgender and osteoporosis health concerns.

Dr. Tamhane enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Prajakta, and their two sons Vedant and Vihaan.

Baptist Health Specialty Clinic-North Little Rock, at 3500 Springhill Drive, Suite 200A, utilizes state-of-the art treatments and advanced technology to assist patients with injury and illness related to a number of specialties including endocrinology.
