Baptist Health Medical Center-Heber Springs Receives National Recognition for Outcomes, Patient Perspective

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Baptist Health-Heber Springs was recently recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and National Organization of State of Offices of Rural Health for overall excellence in two areas.

The honors in Outcomes and Patient Perspective reflect top-quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the nation.

“Our hospital is honored to be recognized by the NOSORH in these two categories,” said Kevin Storey, President of Baptist Health-Heber Springs. “Our service isn’t about receiving awards, but it is nice to be recognized for the work we do on a daily basis for our patients.”

The Performance Leadership Awards are determined each year using iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging data from public data sources, the INDEX aggregates data from 50 rural-relevant metrics across eight pillars to derive a single overall percentile rating.

Baptist Health’s hospitals in Hot Spring County and Stuttgart also received Performance Leadership Awards in Patient Perspective.
