Baptist Health Community Outreach Offering Free Back-to-School Immunizations by Appointment

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In August, Baptist Health Community Outreach will again offer free back-to-school immunizations to benefit kids, families and healthier communities.

This year to provide extra safety precautions, the immunizations will be held at one location and by appointment only. Immunizations will be available on five dates next month at the Partnership for a Healthy Arkansas building at 10117 Kanis Road in Little Rock.

Please see below for the schedule:

  • Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Baptist Health Community Outreach offers free immunizations annually to help children be healthy and ready for the start of the school year. These immunizations have taken on an even more important role this year as pediatric vaccines have reportedly seen a decline since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 screening guidelines dictated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be strictly enforced. This includes mask requirement, temperature check and screening questions.

Parents bringing children to any of the immunization locations should also bring shot records for each child. Those with Medicaid should also bring proof of coverage.

To schedule an appointment for an immunization or for more information, call Baptist Health Community Outreach at (501) 202-1540.
