Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to provide pictures of organs and structures inside the body. MRI can detect changes in the normal structure and characteristics of organs or other tissues, which may indicate diseases caused by trauma, infection, inflammation or tumors.

At Baptist Health Imaging Center-Saline County, conveniently located off Interstate 30 in Benton, we strive to make your MRI experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Patients can listen to their favorite music while having the procedure. There is also a bird feeder outside the exam room for viewing during some of the exams. Our scanner has an extra-large opening and shorter length which accommodates claustrophobic patients as well as weights up to 550 lbs.
