Sometimes, the most daunting part about eating healthy is the amount of time it takes. That’s why when Jason embarked on his weight loss journey, he used his love of grilling to inspire healthy recipes that were as quick and easy to make as they were delicious to eat.
These salmon steaks have the perfect amount of spice to deliver big flavor!
- 2 Salmon Steaks (around 6 oz. each)
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- 1 pinch Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp. Coconut Sugar
- 1 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1 tsp. Dried Oregano
- 1 tsp. Chili Powder
- 1 tsp. Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/2 tbsp. Olive Oil
Combine black pepper, ground cumin, coconut sugar, sea salt, dried oregano and chili powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
In another small bowl, mix together fresh lime juice and olive oil.
Brush lime juice and olive oil mixture on tops and sides of salmon steaks. Sprinkle the top with spice mixture until tops are evenly layered.
Place salmon steaks on grill heated to medium high, spice side up. Cover and grill for 6-7 minutes. Serve with side salad and grilled asparagus.
