Grilled Lemon-Sage Chicken Recipe

Chicken is one of the healthiest sources of lean proteins for those looking to lose weight and promote muscle growth. This chicken’s citrus flavor is beautifully accented by the sage and rosemary spices, and is sure to be a hit with the whole family. 

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • ¼ cup Sage Leaves
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Rosemary
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Zest
  • ¼ cup Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp. Olive Oil

Directions 

Mince garlic and set aside.

Combine sage, black pepper, rosemary and lemon zest in a small bowl. In another bowl, combine lemon juice and olive oil.

Place chicken breasts on a cutting board and cover with plastic wrap. Roll chicken breasts with a rolling pin until an even thickness.

Add spices, lemon juice mixture, garlic and chicken to a 1 gallon Ziploc bag. Shake well to coat the chicken, and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to marinade.

Heat grill to medium-high. Grill chicken covered for 6-7 minutes.

Serve with a side of grilled corn and asparagus.
