Bryan Barrus, MD

Dr. Barrus serves as the director of heart transplantation at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock. He specializes in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure. During the first part of his career, Dr. Barrus was trained on and developed less invasive techniques that decrease trauma and accelerate recovery. He is involved in regional, national, and international research so he can bring the best care and latest knowledge to his patients. Each patient will be provided with a comprehensive and multidisciplinary team approach to optimize outcomes and enhance recovery after surgery.

Dr. Barrus is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, camping, and snowboarding. He also enjoys photography and music and flying. He was a music major before becoming a physician. He says his family is the world to him.
