New or Expectant Mom? You Need to Know About Expressly for You

Having a baby changes everything! New moms have so many new things to worry about, but breastfeeding shouldn’t be one of them. Knowing what to expect the first few weeks after childbirth can help make breastfeeding easier, especially if you’re trying to transition back into a daily work routine.

Expressly for You is a center designed to make the transition to life with a baby easier. It’s the only full service, one-stop lactation store in Arkansas dedicated to moms. Their mission is simple: to help make breastfeeding easier for new mothers by providing lactation consultation both in person and by telephone.

So how does it work?

The Warm-Line

Inpatient lactation consultants help moms get breastfeeding off to a good start after the birth of their new baby, then outpatient consultants follow up through the breastfeeding “Warm-Line”, a 24/7 telephone line staffed by certified lactation consultants.

This service is free and available to all new moms in the community.

One-on-One Appointments

If moms are in need of more one-on-one help after they are discharged, they can make an appointment to come in for additional support. Since many women don’t know what to expect, Expressly for You is available to help with all their impromptu questions and concerns along the way. Breastfeeding is an essential source of food and warmth for infants, so talking with a lactation consultant about solutions is a good idea before trying formula.

Breastfeeding Products

Expressly for You also offers products and services that not only help make the breastfeeding experience go smoothly but life after childbirth goes smoothly. They sell and rent breast pumps, offer breastfeeding accessories, and have a wide selection of comfortable and cute nursing bras with certified bra fitters available to ensure that moms are properly fitted for their nursing bra.

The Expressly for You Breastfeeding “Warm-Line” can be reached at (501) 202-7378 anytime. They also accept appointments Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their Baptist Health-Little Rock location.
